Software-Defined Digital Antenna Electronics

NavEagle is a multi-mission, multi-domain electronic support (ES) sensor and anti-jam system focused on detecting and finding sources of PNT interference. NavEagle continuously monitors the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) and provides both measurements and reports to inform and alert users of interference impacting operations. It supports building a PNT situational awareness (SA) picture through spectrum measurements, direction finding, and waveform analysis.

NavEagle can protect connected PNT systems through advanced, digital anti-jam processing, and it can also provide PNT and navigation measurements from an optional internal sensor suite.

Modular, Flexible, Extensible, & Adaptable

NavEagle is scalable and customizable to meet customer and mission needs. It is designed for rapid, expeditionary integration and deployment on ground, air, or naval platforms performing standalone or collaborative surveillance. It also supports static installations for area monitoring and protection.

NavEagle hosts 16 receive channels that can be phase synchronized. Its large number of channels allows the sensor to scale as PNT and electronic warfare (EW) SA needs and accuracies vary.

Additionally, the system can be configured into a multi-frequency operational mode to observe the RF environment across the EMS. NavEagle, when configured as a PNT SA sensor, senses 30 MHz each around L1 and L2. It can be tuned to specific frequency ranges up to 6 GHz and bandwidths up to 500 MHz, subject to constraints on other dependent RF hardware.

NavEagle can support a single antenna element, a small four-element array, a larger seven-element array, and even beyond to non-traditional larger arrays.

NavEagle is software-defined and reprogrammable. Custom mission profiles can be developed running specific applications. For example, a PNT signal integrity monitor runs to analyze signals and observables and look for anomalies through the PNT chain. When equipped with an array, NavEagle runs direction finding processors to identify interfering signals both above and below the noise floor. Custom waveform processors can be installed to add functionality and increase PNT and EW SA.
