IS4S has recognized the value of working face to face with our customers since the beginning. Within two years of the company’s founding, our first team members set up an on-site presence at Redstone Arsenal and have since grown to support a wide range of projects for multiple directorates and executive offices.
Our embedded team members are wholly immersed in the priorities of their assigned projects. IS4S Redstone on-site leadership empower team members with full autonomy while ensuring they have the training, mentorship, and resources available to best support the customer. Redstone Leadership
Buddy Dawson, Ph.D.
Vice President

Dr. Buddy Dawson is a senior principal systems engineer, Redstone Arsenal site lead, and vice president of Redstone operations for IS4S. Buddy is a certified systems engineering professional (INCOSE) and has spent the last 20 years supporting various DoD programs as a systems engineering leader. During the last 10 years, Buddy has been the lead systems engineer on three major Army missile launcher programs utilizing MBSE approaches (Multi-Mission Launcher, PATRIOT OLE, and P-HEL). Additionally, he was a consulting subject matter expert (SME) for an Air Force command and control (C2) modeling effort. Buddy has served as a consultant to the DEVCOM Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) chief systems engineer at Redstone Arsenal in conducting the Redstone Digital Engineering IPT that meets annually to review the current best practices across the industry in the north Alabama region (including Marshal Space Flight Center, Missile Defense Agency, AvMC, and the surrounding industry partners).
Buddy is currently supporting PEO M&S Integrated Fires Mission Command Project Office, integrating their systems into the Guam Defense System for the joint U.S. Forces. Buddy has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Alabama, an M.S. in Physics from The University of Alabama, and a B.S. in Chemistry and Physics from Emory and Henry College.
