IS4S’s electronics and software design teams work closely with our customers to provide unique combinations of commercial and custom hardware that utilize high-speed field-programmable gate array (FPGA)-driven controls to provide unprecedented safety, speed, and return on investment in challenging environments.  

We have supported complete line-replaceable unit (LRU) development, from board and electronics design to the enclosure development, integration, and testing with larger systems.

Embedded Development 

We specialize in embedded system development to implement emerging solutions within legacy and modernized processors. Our embedded subject matter experts focus on efficient, high-speed code and firmware development along with embedded system management.  

Whether the host platform is a Unix system, FPGA, bare metal processor, or running a real-time operating system (RTOS), our engineers maximize capability while minimizing processor and memory utilization.

Software-Defined Solutions 

Our team uses software-defined platforms to create custom, configurable, and adaptable capabilities. We develop software-defined global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers to explore new receiver architectures, integrate aiding sensor measurements deep within the receiver, and emulate other receivers. Likewise, our software-defined digital antenna electronics (SD-DAE) evaluate anti-jam and electronic support techniques. We employ software-defined transmitters to shape the electromagnetic spectrum and demonstrate new position, navigation, and timing (PNT) waveforms. Using our expertise in software-defined systems and embedded prototyping, we can quickly shape solutions to meet mission needs.
