Our team has extensive experience repurposing existing munition systems for customers that have limited resources but need munitions repurposed for a different use case.

We are able to redesign the warhead system using existing integration requirements and also manufacture and test these new systems in less than a year. 

We have developed a robust casting design process, from design simulation to the pouring of metal. We conduct a thorough analysis of how a part will solidify and then assemble rigging to achieve high quality castings. Further design improvements are made using fluid flow analysis that simulates molten metal flow. Molds may be crafted from traditional patterns or using additive manufacturing based on size, quantity, and complexity. Foundry partners use investment casting or sand casting processes to finish the job by pouring the metal and creating the quality casting.   

Our team in Orlando has experience developing weapon systems throughout the entire life cycle of the system: from idea generation and conceptualization through development, qualification, developmental testing (DT), operation testing (OT), production, fielding, and even through the destruction/demilitarization of the system. 

We have unique experience designing, fabricating, and using surrogate target systems to test the effectiveness of a wide range of weapons and obscurant systems. 

This equipment can be built in a vast range of sizes and emulate a variety of target attributes: basic physical shape and structure, motion, electronic componentry, emission characteristics, and other potential features of interest to defeat the target. 

We are developing a mosquito dropping system for the American Bird Conservancy (ABC). ABC and its partners have developed a mosquito that will reduce the population growth of the avian malaria-carrying Culex mosquito which is killing Hawaii’s endemic forest birds.

Our drop system will carry and release these genetically modified mosquitos into remote areas of the Hawaiian forests.  

Our team is developing delivery unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for both government and commercial customers.  

For the US government we’ve developed a 66mm grenade dropping mechanism that is carried by a UAS. This system is modular and can mount to a variety of drones while carrying up to four munitions. 

Every warhead developed by our Orlando team utilizes model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and every decision made in the design process is captured through MBSE. We have developed a warhead from the ground-up with systems engineering, program management, and contracting requirements all delivered in a single model, while other models involve development concurrently with design and manufacturing efforts, and others are developed as digital twins for future flight vehicle integration.

We are currently utilizing our electronic expertise to develop and qualify the electronic stores interface unit (SIU) and the associated nuclear-certified harnesses necessary for the implementation of MIL-STD-1760 bus communications upgrades for the B-52 aircraft.  

This hardware is responsible for multiplexing the primary signals from the B-52 out to the weapons and must have a 30-year life and be nuclear-weapon certified. 

Our team’s first design agent approach effort was the development of the Next Generation Area Attack Weapon (NGAAW) BLU-136/B warhead. Fulfilling the core basis of the design agent approach, we developed the best solution using open-source software and non-proprietary designs to create a government-owned technical data package (TDP). We rapidly developed, tested, and qualified the BLU-136/B warhead allowing the U.S. Air Force to release the full rate production RFP in just 24 months from the start of the program. 

We have a wide range of 3D printing capabilities, from rapid prototyping with stereolithography (SLA) printers by FormLabs all the way up to Fortus 450mc production using the fused deposition modeling (FDM) printer by Stratasys. We are able to not only rapidly develop products and ideas but also deliver quality production-level parts to our customers. Our team has expertise in both SolidWorks and Inventor which provide our customers options when developing mechanical systems and solutions. 

We are developing several novel XR technologies for NASA: the Anaglyph Extender Reality (AXR) is a hybrid cave-style holodeck that uses combined anaglyphic imagery in conjunction with augmented reality, and the Strings Uniform with Increased Tactile (SUIT) allows the wearer to touch objects in the AXR world. We use the Magic Leap 2 augmented reality headsets to visualize real world problems, save time and money, and allow potential customers to see future products. We have also used VR to demonstrate a flight safety system.  

Our team continues to mature US Air Force designs from lab-level ideas and prototypes to full-scale test items while producing levels 2 and 3 technical data packages. We are currently performing an Air Force technical demonstration project to manufacture an embedded fuzing system for a maritime warhead system, which includes electronic assembly, software programming, fuze integration, and testing. We are also maturing a 250lb counter-maritime warhead which involves warhead case design, manufacturing, explosive filling, and testing.
