Dr. Lindsey Thornhill Receives Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award

Dr. Lindsey Thornhill, IS4S executive vice president, board member, and site lead at our Atlanta location, was awarded the Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award by the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Engineering on March 8, 2025.

The Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award “recognizes alumni who have provided distinguished contributions to the Institute, profession, field, or society at large. Candidates are highly placed executives and are actively involved in engineering, management, industry, academia, or government.”

Awardees are honored each year at an induction ceremony. Georgia Institute of Technology President, Ángel Cabrera, remarked in a welcome letter, “I extend my warmest and most sincere congratulations to all of tonight’s honorees — who are an inspiration to our younger alumni and our current students [...]. Each of you has made a significant impact in your respective fields of expertise, and I am honored and tremendously proud to celebrate those accomplishments.”

Lindsey shared, “I was extremely grateful for this very charitable recognition. It was humbling beyond words, especially as a first-gen kid from a small town who somehow found his way to GA Tech. I’m also very thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with an outstanding team of colleagues at IS4S who all inspire and motivate me, and each other, in the quest for exceptional technology solutions.”

Congratulations, Lindsey!
