Secure Communications 

The design and implementation of end-to-end secure communications links requires a specific skill set and understanding of the customer's needs, expectations, and operating environment. By integrating the correct blend of dependable commercial and specially designed custom equipment, our engineering team provides highly reliable communications systems that perform in the most challenging environmental and electromagnetic circumstances.

Tactical Communications & Networks 

IS4S supports the Army and the DoD with subject matter expertise in the field of tactical communications. Our team of experts understands the complexities of resilient waveforms as well as how to test and assess their performance in a relevant operational environment using hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), modeling and simulation, and demonstrations to assess the correct combination of resilient capabilities to meet user needs and emerging threats. 

Our team uses tactical networks to integrate systems and enable new capabilities. We regularly select, configure, and deploy tactical networks across test ranges to connect command and control (C2) systems with multi-domain assets. Our custom protocols efficiently and robustly transport data over disadvantaged networks and inform communication standards. We implement tactical waveforms within emerging, software-defined systems to increase communication range and enable extended C2.

Communications System Design 

We lead the design and development of small multi-purpose communication systems, and we are an industry leader in sensor open systems architecture (SOSA) small form factor systems.  

This strategic combination significantly contributes to the successful execution of programs like the common modular software-defined radio (cMSDR), which allows for the rapid employment and updating of various waveforms. These capabilities enable today's warfighters the agility to respond to battlespace communication needs.
