IS4S Awarded Phase I SBIR for Convoy Driver Assistance System

Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) awarded IS4S a Phase I SBIR to develop a Convoy Driver Assistance System. Convoy drivers are expected to maintain precise vehicle-to-vehicle spacing during tests. Often, they do not have any speed or distance information. Some tests are in low to zero visibility environments. IS4S will develop a GPS-based convoy driver assistance system. The system will use GPS to precisely determine the relative spacing between vehicles. The system will be mounted in test vehicles and display spacing and speed information on a screen.
