IS4S Wins Army Phase I SBIR

IS4S announced that it has been selected for an Army SBIR Phase I contract entitled "3 kW Lightweight Efficient Generator." IS4S is partnered with Azmark Aero Systems in Gilbert, Arizona to perform the base Phase I R&D effort which totals $100,000 over a six-month period with a $50,000 option over a four-month subsequent period. The focus of this effort is to design, develop and demonstrate a compact, lightweight, and efficient multi-fueled, 3 kW generator unit. With soldiers very dependent on electrical power for various communications and electronics, a lightweight portable generator with multi-fuel compatibility would increase flexibility for the soldier and the unit, while reducing the logistical footprint.
